About Me

McQueen, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior and Chanel, these are my greatest fashion inspirations and not because of fame or popularity. Looking at my fashion choices, past and present, each of these artists contributes something to my personal ethos, in fashion and in life, a code by which I live. Fashion is a way of life, but it doesn’t need to conform or be conventional. It’s as unique as the wearer, a form of self-expression and creativity. It’s a voice that can be serious, light-hearted, elegant, unexpected, timeless, whimsical, glamorous and a form of art. Ultimately, fashion is a way to inspire yourself and others.

So many people think of fashion in one specific way, trying to conform to trends and neat little stylized boxes. Over the years, I’ve delved into many of these boxes, like an excited child on Christmas Day, and I’ve come to learn that fashion can be whatever you dare to imagine. My own style is varied and diverse, it fluctuates on the day, my mood, and my budget, yet I always remain true to myself. From mainstream fashion trends to designer and designer inspired clothing, to darker gothic inspirations, Asian streetwear, Lolita and vintage fashion, especially from the 50s, I’ve worn it all. As I’ve grown older, the extremity of my earlier fashion choices have cooled down, yet all the influences of these past Christmas’ are still there, hinting at something unique, yet with growing sophistication, glamor and class. My personal Mode Code.

Though I don’t expect anyone reading here to have followed the same fashion footsteps I have, I want this to be a place of inspiration, to encourage you in your own fashion adventure and to develop your own unique style. The tips and advice here can be applied to your life and fashion choices in a way that brings you confidence and happiness, inspiring you to be your truest self. And of course, I will be talking about Makeup, Travel and Lifestyle topics too that may also help! So that’s about The Mode Code, fashion as a way of life, but what about me?

I’m a 32-year-old girl from Argentina, a dreamer with a passion to write and help others. I was lucky enough to attend a private university here and gained two honors degrees in five years. This has never slowed down my love of learning. Since, I’ve become a fully trained makeup artist and am constantly taking on new courses both long and short, all of which I’d love to share here. My family and I rescue stray animals in Buenos Aires, and currently, we have more than 15 cats and 6 dogs, so I guess you could say I’m an animal lover! I struggle with my mental health, but am determined to use this to fuel my wishes to help others be able to express themselves, find happiness, and feel good either through a shared love of fashion or by finding it as a new source of inspiration. My fiancée is from England, and I love the UK very much. Aside from being the home of Harry Potter, London is one of the Fashion Capitals of the world; however, I long to travel to almost every location you can imagine. I also love Disney (bring on the Disney Bounds), Labyrinth and almost everything geeky under the sun, but none of this defines me completely. Today, here, I am an author, and in my writing, I hope we’ll truly get to know one another. So please put up your feet, grab a coffee and read a few posts. If you leave a comment, I’ll be sure to get back to you. I can’t wait.
